About
Three houses, two generations.
How buying a row of Wismar townhouses became a father-and-son project — and how the first guests moved in at the start of 2026.
“We didn't want a hotel. We wanted guests to live in Wismar — inside a carefully restored townhouse from the turn of the 20th century.”
— Father & son Vollbrecht
Our story
Three addresses became one place.
VThe three houses on Neustadt aren't a family inheritance — we bought them together, father and son, because we believed in Wismar. The historic substance asked for patience: narrow staircases, old beams, listed-building rules.
Floor by floor we had the eight apartments restored — with one rule: modern apartments without losing the character of the old houses.
We welcomed our first guests at the start of 2026. Today all eight apartments invite you to live in Wismar like a temporary local — oak parquet, fresh plaster, well-equipped kitchens. What stayed: the high ceilings, the slim plans, and the courtyard that nothing should change.
Wishing you quiet days in one of Germany's most beautiful Hanseatic cities. — Father & son Vollbrecht
